Okay, so this is the end of my trip in Ireland. It's been a blast and I'm sitting at the airport waiting to see where my gate is and where to go. In this time I have watched the newest Thor trailer and holy crap, Loki. The hair is just.... wow. I cannot stop laughing when I see those pictures or think of it. I am so excited to see the movie! I have to catch my plane so I'll write more when I am in Plymouth!

Ireland: Day 3
Tours. Let me tell you how much I love tours. I mean it! You learn so much and ohmigosh I just klsjfdkljsfjklfskjljklfsdjklfs yes. We did a tour of the Guinness factory and got a free beer out of it. I'm not a beer person, but hey free alcohol is free.
After that we went had soem lunch then off to a walking tour!! Yes. I will give you all the details later, as I am super tired and I will have more time but oh!! The Dublin Castle was closed off to the public as they're choosing the rotation for the EU council, so yea, that was pretty snazzy to hear about. It was awesome to walk around and, after taking a Modern European History class, knowing all of the history of Ireland.
We walked to see the Famine Memorial and wow, what a sight. There were all in all 6 statues, but my goodness did they make an impression. They were too lifelike and all too much real. I wish I could find the words I need to say.
We wandered around and saw St. Patrick's Cathedral.
Then as we were walking back, there was the cutest guy playing his guitar. We hing around and listened for a while until the cold was too unbearable. Kudos to him for playing out in the cold. His voice was lovely. He has great falsettos.
So it's our last night here in Dublin, then it's back to Plymouth and essay writing for me. I have ne to turn in on the 23, one on May 1, and 7. The latter is no biggie, I mean come on, how hard is Shakespeare to write about, and it's Hamlet for goodness sakes! It also helps having a fantastic professor with a British accent. Moving on, I shall update as I see fit, but stayed tuned!

Ireland: Day 2
Today started at 6 am. Or in better terms dark thirty in the morning. Freaking ridiculous. But we bundled up and headed off to the meeting point. It took us 3 hours, but we made it to the Moher cliffs. (Pronounced Moor not Mo-her) My goodness it was just outstanding. An hour is certainly not enough time to take everything in. It was just... wow. The air is so clean and fresh here. The sites were just completely amazing to see.
There is one picture that I absolutely love. I took it and it's just me sitting on the edge of this 700 foot drop, and all you see is the rocks and the water and my legs and shoes. I love this picture so much because, for those of you who don't know, I am terrified of heights. I don't stand on the edge of anything. But today, I did and I sat looking down and you know what? This crazy sense of peace just flooded me. It felt great to just sit there and not be afraid of falling.
So we boarded the bus and headed off to another site. You guys know that scene in Harry Potter where Harry and Hermione are on this camping ground made of just rock? I think this is the scene where Ron leaves, anyways, I swear, it was completely amazing and looked just like where we were. I will figure out the name and add it in tomorrow.
We ended our tour by checking out these super awesome ruins of a church where the grave yard is still used. Then it was back on the bus and back to Dublin.
Tomorrow we're doing the Guinness tour then a walking tour (yay! They are my favorite!!) after that we're off to the Famine Memorial, the Cathedral District, the Garden of Remembrance then the day will end with the Temple Bar.

P.S. I know I haven't given you a lot of information but as I have noted previously in other posts, I need to go through the recordings and get it all done.
P.P.S. The internet sucks right now so I will try and upload pictures tomorrow.
*Edit: I added the photos!! Awesome!*

Ireland: Day 1
So wow. I am sitting in this really snazzy hostel writing this to you guys as I have made it to Ireland. I really enjoy it here. In fact, I enjoy all the places I go. It's the thrill of finding new adventures and learning new things. It fantastic how in a boring textbook history can be dull, but when you're out here in the real world learning and seeing and experiencing it, it is completely different and eye opening.
In all honesty I actually thought that Dublin was going to be a smaller fishing village, but it's not. I was wrong. Today we wandered and saw the sights, tomorrow we are going to the Cliffs of Moher. So yes. I am excite and need to get some sleep.

Ireland and Essay Writing
Okay, so I have 3 essays to write and very little time to write them as I am such a procrastinator. But on the other hand, I am heading off to Ireland for a few days. I am so excited! But first I need to write this stupid essay. Wow. Ugh. Okay, enough complaining. Anyways, I shall update everything when I head off. Right now I need to write this essay. 39/2500 words. Wish me luck.

Well.. I'm back.
It's great and it's kinda horrible to be back in Plymouth. It's great cause I can do laundry and spread all my stuff out and lkjflksdfjsdkljfksdlkjdfdsj yes. It's horrible because I miss crepes and baguettes and everything French. I miss the rest of Europe. I am glad to not be traveling, for a few days. I am glad to have a few days of rest and time to write essays.
In 5 days I shall be traveling to Ireland. It'll be a blast.

Paris: Day 5 and an end to Spring Break
So, here I am back in Paris and I love it. I have missed it here and I shall enter a stage of depression when I leave it. Where else shall I get my Eric Kayser baguettes? Or my real croissants? Where else shall I be able to see The Moulin Rouge? I shall miss it, but I am glad to heading back to my second home. Plymouth. Oh it is quite beautiful there. I shall miss that when May 20th rolls around. That shall be a sad day indeed. I don't want it to end. I don't want the end to come. I am a nervous wreak about it actually. I am so nervous about getting my papers back. Nope. Done. Done to the doneth degree.
Moving on.
Today was a great day. We ran into Pierre one last time and that was fantastic. We had baguettes and Kebabs and ahhh I don't want to leave, but alas I must.
Today also marks the end of my Spring Break. I shan't be ending Traveling With Remi just because my time abroad and Spring break are coming to an end. This blog isn't just about traveling the world, it's also about going out and finding new things. Don't worry, I'll update as much as I can!

Restoring Faith in Humanity
So we arrived in Paris and wow, it felt great to be back. Although our welcome back was not as expected. It was late when we arrived and so we took the metro to get to our hostel. Which on the way, my freaking bag broke. Anyways, while on our second metro, we had to switch to get to line 2, we heard a commotion in the back. Now, we couldn't tell what was being said, as they were speaking French, but it didn't sound too good. When we got off at our stop, so did the men who were yelling. They got out and threw, who I could only assume was a homeless man, on the ground and began to literally kick him while he was down. I was quite stunned, and watched it all. Looking back, I think the thing that stunned me the most was the fact that people could actually and quite literally kick a man while he was down. I wish I had had the courage to stop them, but as they were quite bigger than I am, I was quite, in no better terms, scared. A better person than I would have gone and helped that man, but as I am not that person, I sit here typing an excuse that there was too much blood for me to handle. Again, were I a better person I would not be giving excuses. I did see however a bunch of complete random strangers come together and help this man, not only, pick up his money, but also give him more. In all honesty I expected everyone to walk on by, but instead, at least 10 people stopped and helped this man. These people are the people who restore my faith in Humanity. They are the ones who still make me believe that yes, there is still some good in this world. Ya know, that good that's worth fighting for. It makes me want to believe that I can be a better person. It makes me want to be a better person. And so to those people on that metro last night, I raise my glass to you and say thank you. Thank you for restoring my hope in this world we live in. Thank you for giving me hope.

Florence: Day 2 and 3
Okay, sorry for being behind again, but I got sick the night I was supposed to post. But here we go. So in Florence we literally just wandered around. We saw a great big church in which the pictures do not do justice to. Then we saw the Statue of David. Well the fake one. It was pretty awesome. After that, nothing really new happened. Florence was okay.
The net day, we had the day, kinda to spare and so we wandered and then caught our train. our first train was delayed by 45 mins which kinda freaked us out due to the fact that our connecting train was at different station, and we only had like 1:30 to spare. But we made it to our train in time and boy was that a long train ride. But we made it to Paris.

Rome: Days 4 & 5, Florence: Day 1
So nothing really new that has happened today. We went to the Vatican and wandered.
We saw the Sistine Chapel and weren't allowed to take pictures.
I hung out with the Pope.
We went to Pisa and saw the Tower.
Then we made it to Florence. Let me apologize right now for the language that is about to be written. Forgive me but I am still livid about it.
So Alyssa and I made it to our hostel after 25 mins of walking. Not bad. So went to the reception and told them we were checking in. So they found Alyssa, but not me. What the fuck? No, sorry, but I made this reservation about a month ago. You should have it. We made it at the same time. I told him this, minus the profanity, and he calls the owner. She tells me something that I couldn't really make out due to the fact of her Italian accent and she spoke really fast. Now normally that wouldn't be a probably, but add that strong accent and yes it is. I kept getting told that instead of paying what Alyssa was paying I would have to pay more regardless of the fact that I made a reservation. I showed the guy and he didn't look it up to see if I was in the system or anything. No, what is your fucking job then? Could you find my reservation please? Then another thing that really pisses me off is when I telly ou how to pronounce my last name, please fucking pronounce it correctly. I had to correct him like 3984934839284 times because he kept getting it wrong. it's really not that hard. So I had to pay 24 euros instead of the 18 I was supposed to pay. I am so livid and then when I went to sign the paper thing, he guys asks me, "Oh are you mad?" and then he laughed. It took everything I had to not punch him in the face. Now I understand that it's not really his fault, but seriously, learn how to do your fucking job. Oh and to put the icing on the cake, this hostel has no fucking towels. Seriously??? What the fuckkkkkk?
Oh and this is our room. Love my new roommates.
Oh sorry. Rant over.
Hopefully tomorrow will be better.
