Okay, so here we are in Venice and quite frankly, it wasn't off to a great start. We arrived from our night train and didn't have directions, but finally we found the email and boy were they complicated. So we decided to walk. A walk that should have taken us about 20-30 mins ended up being 2 hours long. The people who we first asked for directions, those being the staff at the train station were not very nice. They were snarky and actually quite rude. But we got a vague sense of direction and headed off that way. As were were walking, we found out that no one knew where this place was. Did it even exist? Well, as I am typing this to you from the B&B yes it does. The picture they showed us in HostelWorld is completely wrong. The internet sucks and it is impossible to find. Moving on. We found out we were on the wrong side of the canal so we took a Gondola to the other side. It was pretty snazzy. After we made it there, we wandered in circles, got a few better directions and then finally found the B&B. After we got there, we rang the bell, but no one answered, so as we were starving, we went and got food. After our lunch, we were finally let in the B&B and made our way upstairs. They were still kinda cleaning the room, so we just hung out. After that, I took a quick nap because I barely slept on the train and then it was time to explore. We saw Venice and you know what else we saw? A whole lot of freaking water. Shocker.
We had pizza and gelato. We actually had gelato for like breakfast, lunch and dinner. It's freaking amazing.
They don't skimp out on the pizza here in Italy.
We wandered and went to the market and I am almost all finished for presents. Yay!!
I finally found the wine I have been looking for!!!
At the end of the night, we repacked and attempted to finish our blogs which is why these two posts are really late because the internet crapped out.
Allons-y!
Remi
